The photo exhibition titled “The Bagan from The Heart” is scheduled to have a second show in Yangon’s National Museum in early May, according to the Department of Archaeology and National Museum (Bagan branch).
Its first photo exhibition was held in Bagan on 2 March to welcome the new title of “World Heritage for Bagan 2019” which is a way to recognize the transition of Bagan from being a Myanmar heritage site to a world heritage site.
“It is an exhibition that showcases photographers who love Bagan with all their heart. The photographers will join together to show their photographic work. Old and new photos taken of temples in the ancient city will be exhibited,” said U Aung Aung Kyaw, Director of the Department of Archaeology and National Museum (Bagan branch). The number of photos to be displayed in the second exhibition will be more than the first show in Bagan, he said. The first photo exhibition showed 200 photos shot by 100 photographers.
The exhibition aims at promoting the culture, history and traditions to people in Myanmar and around the world.—Myanmar Digital News
