Bagan visitors more interested in henna paintings

In henna painting, Myanma traditional knots and ancient architectural outlines are usually drawn as most youths and the middle-aged like them. ‘’In the vacation season and the pagoda festival season, henna art services have to be provided non-stop. When that time, all family members have to do the painting without taking a rest. Henna painting is better only with a passion for art and an interest in the work,” said Ko Thein Hlaing, Ma Thin Thin Oo’s husband, to The Global New Light of Myanmar (GNLM).
The henna painting fee ranges from K5,000 to K10,000 depending on whether the designs and paint used.
This year, local pilgrims to the Bagan cultural heritage area have gradually increased and the number renting pony carts and e-bike have increased. Along with the local families’ additional income, the small businesses of the locals will do well. — TWA/ MKKS
