Bago Region Chief Minister inspects agricultural products in western Bago Region

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win on 29 March inspected the installation of steel railings on the strand road in Pyay Township of the western Bago Region. He instructed officials to expand the landfilling of the strand road and prevent squatters.
Then, the chief minister inspected the production process of U Thaung Aye’s cottonseed oil extraction plant in the Gandama Industrial Zone and urged officials to encourage the farmers to cultivate more long-staple cotton for the production of oil from crude cottonseed in order to fulfil the oil consumption need.
Afterwards, he inspected 10 acres of Sunn hemp (Crotalaria juncea) cultivation of U Thein Tun in Letpanpinsu village of Gyobingauk township and 123 acres of systematic mechanized farming in Field No 1170 of Gyopin Camp village-tract in Letpadan Township.
The chief minister also inspected nurturing of 100,000 teak saplings, iron-wood, Manjanshar, Mezali, gum-kino, golden mohur and rain trees in the Myoma Forest Nursery of the Forest Department in Letpadan Township and gave necessary instructions. — MNA
