Best athlete awards selected for 2019 and 2021

Under the leadership of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, the Myanmar Sports Media Federation will award the best athletes for 2019 and 2021, according to the Myanmar Sports Media Federation working meeting held on 30 November.
The best awards for 2019 were given to Maung Maung (Ar Ti), who won two gold medals in the Billiards and Snooker competition of the 2019 Philippine Sea Games, as the Best Athlete Award (male) and to Eindray Phoo, who won a gold medal in the Philippines Sea Games competition, as the Best Athlete Award (female) for 2019.
The best athlete award (male) award for 2021 was chosen by Pauk Sa, who won a gold medal in the billiards competition at the Vietnam SEA Games and a silver medal in the snooker doubles competition.
Meanwhile, the best athlete (female) award was jointly chosen by Khaing Wah Phoo and May Honey Aung Lwin, who won the gold medal in the doubles competition and the silver medal in the individual competition at the Viet Nam SEA Games Vovinam competition.
According to the working group meeting of the Myanmar Sports Media Federation, the outstanding awards were selected from the sports of the World Olympic Games, Asian Games, Southeast Asian Games, World Invitational Tournament, Asian Invitational Tournament, Southeast Asian Invitational Tournament and University Student Invitational Tournament for the country.
It is reported that the award ceremony and the kick-off ceremony to pay tribute to senior sports writers will be held in Nay Pyi Taw in the third week of December. — Bala Soe/GNLM
