Yangon, 14 Dec — A special task force responsible for promotion of trade and economy had a meeting with private organizations at the Ministry of Commerce here on Sunday, with an address by U Tin Naing Thein, Union Minister at the President Office, sources said.
In his speech, the union minister stressed the need to continue cooperation and coordination between the government and private organizations for the development of the private sector, urging departmental officials to ask the special task force for advice on dealing with complex issues.
U Win Myint, Union Minister for Commerce, told the meeting that his ministry is reviewing rules and regulations necessary for the smooth conduct of bilateral trade between partner countries, noting that the country’s economic goals will yield fruitful results only through better public-private partnership.
The assigned responsibility of the special task force is to ensure that the accelerated measures of Myanmar’s Third Wave Reform are on a par with rules and regulations of the international community.
