The Myanmar Writers’ Association is inviting books for the 12th Mekong Literary Awards that will be hosted by Laos. The contestants must compete in either in short story collection or poetry collection, which must be published in both English and Myanmar during 2020 and 2021.
In addition, contest entries for the selected short stories genre must be well-intentioned and well-written to inspire readers whereas the poems for the selected poems genre must be in harmony with traditional Myanmar poetry and must contain at least 60 poems.

The winners of the 11th Mekong Literary Award, who have not received the awards due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be presented at the 12th Mekong Literary Award Ceremony. — MNA
