Buddhist delegation leaves for China

On the afternoon of 22 September, Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumaran Bhivamsa, Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee left Yangon by air for China at an invitation of Venerable Chong Hua, the President of the Chongsheng Temple in Dali City, Yunnan Province, China, to participate in the 7th Buddhist Forum from 22 to 24 September, and to attend to religious affairs in Shanghai.
The Chairman Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee was accompanied by the Vice Chairman Sayadaw, member Sayadaw, deputy director general and director of the department of Religious Affairs and a responsible person from the Mingala Magazine (Yangon Office).
The State Committee Chairman Sayadaw and party were seen off at Yangon International Airport by officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
