Businesses from 23 countries to join industrial & infrastructure event

a Mega Industrial & Infrastructure Event will be held from 11 to 13 October at Yangon Convention Centre, with participants from 23 countries, including China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, South Korea and Japan.
This event will bring together four trade shows, such as Construction, Power and Mining; Intermach, Subcon & MTA Myanmar; Myanmar Water; and Renewable Energy Myanmar. These trade shows are to be held for the sixth time at the Mega Industrial & Infrastructure Event.
Over 350 companies from 23 countries will showcase their products, technology and their services, including subcontracting, business-matching, technology for construction, mining, power and waste water management, energy and renewable energy sectors. This mega event also includes MyanmarWater Conference for sustainable development on water supply, sanitation and wastewater treatment.
The event is organized by UBM Asia, cooperated and supported by the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce (UMFCCI), Myanmar Industries Association (MIA), Myanmar Federation of Mining Association (MFMA), Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Association (MCEA), Myanmar Engineering Society (MES), Renewable Energy Association of Myanmar (REAM), Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC), Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC), Delegation of German
Industry and Commerce in Myanmar.
This event will bring opportunities for local businesspersons to link with respective foreign counterparts, said U Aye Tun, deputy chair of Myanmar Industries
At present, Myanmar has potential for foreign investments. Hopefully, this event will fulfill the requirements of industrial and infrastructure enterprises, said Mr. Fraser Hawkes, general manager of UBM Myanmar.
