Cambodian PM visits construction site of Mara Vijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, who arrived in Myanmar for a working visit at the invitation of State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, visited the construction site of Mara Vijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
First, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, Lt-Gen Nyo Saw and Lt-Gen Kan Myint Than of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office and officials among others received the Cambodian Prime Minister.
Then, the Cambodian Premier donated to the Buddha Image in the meeting hall. Afterwards, Lt-Gen Kan Myint Than briefed the curving and building of the Mara Vijaya Buddha Image, step-by-step exploration and conveyance of marble rocks, efforts of the Senior General for seeking the guidance of State Ovada Cariya Sayadaws, work processes to publish the Tri Pitaka treatises in the Romanized Language using modern machines and other construction processes of religious buildings with architectural works of Yadanabon era.
The Cambodian Prime Minister and party viewed the scale-model of the Buddha Image, pagoda compound, Pitaka inscription chambers, samples of stone inscriptions, location of altar of the Buddha Image and curving processes with the use of CNC machines.—MNA
