Cargo vessel catches fire at sea near Bokpyin

Eight local fishermen are saved and provided with foods and medical services.

A cargo vessel caught fire at about 7 miles from Kawt Ye Kyun in Bokpyin Township of Taninthayi Region at 12:45 pm on 23 February.

Then, the security force members of Myanmar waters inspected the incident and found out that a cargo ship named Aung Phone Myat caught fire. The security force members extinguished the fire together with the local fishermen and saved eight crews. They also provided healthcare services, foods and transferred to the officials.—MNA
