A ceremony to introduce cooperation prospects and opportunities between Mandalay University of Technology (MTU) and Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) in Kunming, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China, was held at the Mingala Thiri Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning. The initiative is to be implemented with the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2020).
Union Minister of Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw gave an opening speech, and the Vice-Chairman of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (Myanmar) and the Director of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar extended their greetings.
The aim of collaboration is to focus on the development of human resources, enhance lifelong learning, prioritize collaboration in research and manufacturing within the Mekong community and the close cooperation between Mandalay University of Technology (MTU) and Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) in the field of science and technology. Additionally, the partnership aims to establish communication networks among students and provide cross-cultural learning experiences between the two countries, stimulate the students’ interest in global developments. — MNA/KZW
