The Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary defines the word of professionalism as the high standard that you expect from a person who is well trained in a particular job. Likewise, Wikipedia states a definition related to the word of professionalism: A professional is a member of a profession or any person who earns a living from a specified professional activity.
Somebody accepting themselves as professionals in specific jobs must have excellent skills in relevant jobs, proper decision-making skills and qualified manners in the relevant professions. Truly, the professionals need to follow the professionalism comprising the ethics, vision and qualification.
Any professionals must be qualified for a wider knowledge of their professions, high talent and skills, responsibility and accountability for serving their professions. They have been capable of operating their jobs with responsibility and accountability for any complaints and disorders.
In any profession, the professionals have got the highest level of salaries or honorariums deserved to operate relevant assignments. They have to value their jobs as well as pay gently respect to workmates at different levels without discrimination even though workmates are lesser capable than theirs’.
Primarily, the majority of professionals need to adhere to the restricted ethics and rules of professionalism as well as accountability based on morals. Before signing the agreements for operating the relevant jobs, the professionals recognize the norms and standards related to the ethics for job arenas on a wider scale.
For example, medical doctors from the majority of countries across the world including Myanmar abide by the Hippocratic Oath as the professional ethics. They need to follow the Hippocratic Oath in all medical fields in providing healthcare services to patients. They have to take responsibility for all things they did.
They must be able to show off their professional skills in relevant professions. They have to accept professionalism without fail. It is because those professionals possess the highest skills and talent than others. While managing the specific work arenas with the strengths of subordinates and assistants, those professionals themselves need to take responsibility for operating the assignments to be accomplished.
