CITIC Star Scholarship awarded to 240 Myanmar students of YUFL and MMU

The CITIC Star Scholarship was awarded for the first time to 240 students from Myanmar Maritime University and Yangon University of Foreign Languages at a ceremony held yesterday at the Wyndham Grand Yangon Hotel.
Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing for Ministry 2 at the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ms Ma Jia, officials from CITIC Myanmar and the China Foundation for Rural Development (CFRD), as well as staff and students from the universities involved were present on the occasion.
The CITIC Star Scholarship programme, developed by CITIC Myanmar in partnership with the CFRD, aims to foster innovation and a global perspective among youths.
According to Ambassador Ms Ma Jia, the scholarship seeks to enhance cooperation between Myanmar and Chinese universities and to promote cultural and technological exchanges between the two countries. — MT/TMT
