CMP garment export earns over US$ 300 mln in April

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Commerce, the domestic garment industry brought in more than US$300 million from exports in April. Garment products on a CMP basis were sent to China, Thailand, and European countries.
The garment industry exported goods worth about US$200 million through the border and about US$184 million through the sea.
According to the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association, there is a total of 700 factories producing bags, sportswear, sports shoes, and socks, among which there are 505 garment factories and 48 socks factories. These garment factories exported goods using the CMP system.
In the financial year 2022-2023, the garment industry pocketed more than US$1.5 billion. — TWA/CT
