Cocogyun region sees much progress due to concerted efforts of local people and local military units rather than assistance of the State leaders: Senior General

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, and officials yesterday afternoon met with Tatmadaw members and families from Cocogyun Station at the station hall.
In his speech, the Senior General stressed the need to efficiently use summer long holidays for offspring of officers, other ranks and families. They have to give good education legacy to children and systematic supervise them in their childhood. Those children must be arranged to attend classes as usual so as to actually have basic education knowledge.
The Senior General called for happily enjoying the Myanmar traditional Thingyan period and maintaining traditional culture in a systematic manner. Cocogyun region sees much progress due to concerted efforts of local people and local military units rather than assistance of the State leaders. Hence, they all have to continue further development of Cocogyun region through united strength of the local people for serving interests of the region and local people.
The Senior General presented foodstuff for Tatmadaw members and families and his wife, cash assistance to the station maternal and child welfare association through the commander of local naval base and wife.
After the meeting, the Senior General, wife and party splashed officers, other ranks and families hailing Myanmar Traditional Thingyan festival as part of warmly welcoming the New Year.
The Senior General inspected progress of agriculture and livestock farms of Cocogyun Station.
The Senior General inspected thriving 1.66 acres of Cocoa farm-1 and 3.34 acres of the farm-2 being operated by the local naval base and stressed that if cocoa plants can be grown successfully in the region, these plantations will contribute much to regional development.
The Senior General inspected the 7th-mile turtle hatching farm and the turtle farm of local naval base and instructed officials to systematically nurture sea turtles in Cocogyun region.
The Senior General and wife released two three-year-old sea turtles into the sea to mark pre-Myanmar Thingyan festival. His entourage and wives also released sea turtles into the sea.
At the domestic cattle farm of the local naval base, the Senior General instructed officials to operate domestic cattle farming tasks and systematically feed them. — MNA/TTA
