Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office coducts first monsoon participates in tree planting ceremony 2019

The Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) held a first monsoon tree planting ceremony for 2019 in Zeyathiri Township, Yezin Dam in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
At the ceremony, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife planted Mahogany saplings while Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and wife, Union Ministers and wives, high ranking Tatmadaw officers and wives from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, attending officers, troops and families planted saplings at designated places.
Next Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief and party inspected and encouraged the officers, troops and families planting trees.
In today’s event a total of 4,720 saplings of Mahogany, Teak, Padauk etc. were planted in the vicinity of Yezin Dam. Starting from 2011 to 2019 the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) has been organizing monsoon tree planting ceremonies to protect and preserve the eco-system and has already planted a total of 141,783 saplings according to a news released from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.— MNA
