Commerce Minister talks with Chinese ambassador to foster bilateral trade


Union Minister for Commerce Dr Than Myint discussed with Chinese ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chen Hai about improvement of trade sector between the two countries.
Their online video conferencing focused on Myanmar’s responses to economic and social impacts from COVID-19 disease, including forming a committee led by the State Counsellor in March, and working together with neighbouring countries and international organizations.
He also expressed his appreciation on China for its coordination in this disease control and normality of border trade for rice, beans, corns and cattle.
Both sides also discussed the acceleration of establishment of Muse-Ruili trade zone, and promotion of bilateral trade under the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor signed by Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping during his visit to Myanmar, Kyaukpyu Special Economic Zone and deep seaport projects.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
