Committee for Preventing Grave Violence against Children in Armed Conflicts 1/2022 meeting held

The Committee for Preventing Grave Violence against Children in Armed Conflicts conducted a 1/2022 meeting yesterday.
During the meeting, Committee Chairperson Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine discussed the releasement of statement on the implementation of national-level work plans regarding the prevention of child casualties and sexual violence in the conflicts and the transparent work procedures to the international countries after receiving the permission of SAC.
The meeting also focused on the implementation of a national action plan (2022-2023) for the prevention of deadly injuries and sexual violence against children in armed conflict and a plan to release a statement from the committee.
The meeting was attended by the relevant officials of ministries concerned, including the Myanmar Red Cross Society. — MNA
