It is necessary to apply the political way of solving the problems in the democratization, said Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in meeting with departmental personnel and town elders at the halls of Mongkhat and Mongyawng Township General Administration Departments separately yesterday.
The local authorities reported on supply of drinking water to Mongkhat, the requirement of education staff, issuance of citizenship scrutiny cards through Pankhinn project, prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19, improvement of Yangpon-Wamphyat-Wamyut inter-village road, and reconstruction of collapsed Dunnwe bridge across Namphun Creek.
Union ministers and the Shan State Chief Minister discussed measures of respective ministries to fulfil the requirements of the region.
In his speech, the Senior General said that if water from Namloi Creek can be purified in modern technologies, it will supply drinking water to the people. Research can be conducted for generating hydropower at Namloi Creek.
Mongkhat and Mongyawng regions should utilize the existing natural resources for having more development. Mongyawng region needs to implement the agricultural-based industry to produce rice-based products and other value-added products. Agriculture and livestock farms must be undertaken together for ensuring food sufficiency of the region and exporting the value-added products to neighbouring countries so as to improve the socio-economic life of the people.
Shan State (East), Kayah and Chin states are weak in encouragement to education. Despite language barriers and poor transport facilities, these regions need to encourage education. Parents need to encourage their children to learn education as well as strive for economic growth. Teachers must be qualified for teaching while students should focus on learning education. Concerted efforts of students, parents, teachers and authorities can shape education promotion.
It is necessary to encourage the emergence of outstanding persons in respective subjects. The government will assist in learning education as much as possible, so, local people need to make efforts to come out the educated human resources from the respective regions.
Although the region was notorious in the measures related to narcotic drugs, efforts of the Myanmar Police Force and the Tatmadaw for eradication lessen these events. All need to take eradication of narcotic drugs. The region should be famous with industries and businesses.
The Senior General expressed his hope, saying that the Mongkhat region would be a drug-free area with the improvement of the socio-economic status of the local people. If the country does not have stable politics, such a country will not meet development. The Senior General said he does not focus on armed insurrection for solving the political and racism problems. It is necessary to apply the political way of solving the problems in democratization. Local people need to join hands with administrative officials and departmental personnel for the development of the regions.
The Senior General presented gifts for Mongkhat and Mongyawng regions through respective administrators.
