Consider things how to improve Myanmar’s agricultural arena

Articles

Myanmar possesses an abundance of land, water and human resources as well as the strength of entire farmers in the agriculture sector which plays a crucial role in the development of the State. It is because the agricultural sector fulfils the basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter of the people and creates job opportunities.
The successive governments have been striving for transforming manual farming into mechanized farming for many decades. So far, the country has partially transformed the agricultural farming system with the use of modern agricultural machinery being skillfully operated by Myanmar farmers.
On the other hand, distribution not only of the quality seeds of crops but also of the modern agricultural techniques contributes a great deal to mechanized farming. Utilizing the agricultural machinery benefits the farmers to cut time of soil preparations, ploughing, sowing, transplanting, weeding, harvesting and threshing before milling.
Meanwhile, the local authorities overview the agricultural sector in their respective areas to provide necessary assistance for farmers on how to construct the manufacturing roads for easing the transport barriers of crops and how to irrigate the farmlands through dams and river water pumping stations.
The manufacturing roads must be constructed between the paddy and crop fields to emerge drains on both sides along the roads. So, farmers can use the manufacturing roads to transport crops by saving time without any barriers and the drains to irrigate their farmlands in an easy manner. Moreover, the systematic measurement of farmlands and croplands can be shaped thanks to the construction of the manufacturing roads.
Only when the agricultural sector improves, will the large volume of agricultural products be exported to earn incomes and will the local people consume food sufficiently. Hence, mechanized farming must be implemented together with systematic agricultural systems so as to boost the per-acre yield of crops.
If the modern agricultural techniques and relentless efforts of farmers combine, it is sure that Myanmar can see a larger volume of agricultural products and increased income from agricultural export items in a few years.

As such, the authorities and farmers should always consider things how to improve the agricultural sector, how to uplift their living standard through benefits of the sector and how to completely implement mechanized farming not only for the State but for the new generations.
