Construction of grandstand seating is 50% completed

Construction of grandstand seating for spectators at Myoma athletic field in Mahlaing Township, Mandalay Region, is now fifty per cent complete according to U Win Naing, assistant department head of Sports and Physical Education in Mahlaing Township.
“We started construction on November 12 in 2017. We had to knock down the old bleachers before beginning reconstruction. As of now, we have completed more than 50 per cent of the construction process,” said U Thet Swe Oo, engineer for Arthit Mandalay Company.
The old bleachers could hold just more than 30 people. The Sports and Physical Education Department in Mandalay Region allocated K71.25 million of regional funds to build the new reinforced concrete grandstand.—Bo Bo (Mahlaing)
