Coord meeting on Youth and Literature Festival held to mark Diamond Jubilee Union Day

A coordination meeting on Youth and Literature Festival to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee Union Day was convened at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw at 1 pm on 13 January.
Union Information Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, who is also the chairman of the Youth and Literature Festival Organizing Committee, Union Minister Dr Myo Thein Kyaw for Science and Technology, Union Minister U Min Thein Zan for Sports and Youth Affairs, Dr Maung Maung Naing, the chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, secretary, committee members and officials concerned attended the meeting.
First and foremost, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, the chairman of the committee, stated that the festival was earlier scheduled to be held on 29 and 30 January only. The committee has planned to add another day and the festival will be extended until 31 January. An excursion is planned for students, parents and family members of the government personnel. The three-day festival will feature science and technology, aviation technology, marine technology and health awareness.
The Union minister requested the ministries concerned to coordinate in celebrating the festival as it also aims to congratulate one year of the State Administration Council on 1 February.
Afterwards, the joint secretary of the committee explained matters regarding the preparedness, stalls and exhibition designs.
After that, Union Minister Dr Myo Thein Kyaw said that the Ministry of Science and Technology aims to educate, inspire and encourage the youth to participate in the festival. We will work together with the ministries concerned to hold this festival successfully.
Additionally, Union Minister U Min Thein Zan remarked that the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs will showcase how hard the athletes in the national team are under training for the Southeast Asian Games and exhibit sports themes.
Later, Dr Maung Maung Naing, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, Deputy Minister U Maung Maung Win and the attendees discussed matters in each sector for the successful implementation of the festival to honour the 75th Union Day.
