Coordination meeting held for port development

A coordination meeting to discuss the development of ports in the country was held at the office of the Myanma Port Authority on Pansodan Street in Yangon yesterday.
Present at the meeting were Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Thant Sin Maung, Deputy Minister U Kyaw Myo, Director-General U Ni Aung, general manager, department heads, deputy heads, as well as other invited managing directors, chief executive officers, directors and personnel from international port companies.
In his speech, the union minister spoke about the development of the nation’s ports.
U Ni Aung, managing director of the Myanma Port Authority, then explained matters related to the construction of buildings and jetties at Thilawa Port and Yangon Port.
Also, the attending managing directors, chief executive officers, directors and personnel from international port companies explained their company’s capabilities and completed works.
In conclusion, the union minister and the deputy minister commented about the discussions and ended the meeting with a speech.
