Coordination meeting on safe mobile banking held

A coordination meeting supervised by the Mobile Money Financial Services Industry Oversight Committee led by the Central Bank of Myanmar governor was held yesterday in Yangon to prevent cases of financial fraud and organize the Action Task Force.
During the meeting, the CBM governor discussed matters regarding financial fraud through the communication network, information access and screening for prevention, and action on Standard Operation Procedure-SOP.
Then, the participants of the meeting discussed the formation of the Action Task Force, issues related to financial fraud, notifications on mobile websites so that the public can easily find out, and statements and awareness programmes using social media.
In addition, Central Bank of Myanmar Governor Daw Than Than Swe met with officials from the Central Bank of Myanmar (Yangon branch) yesterday morning.
During the meeting, Risk-based Supervision methods mentioned in the Onsite Examination Manual and Onsite Examination plans for financial fraud are discussed. — MNA/KZL
