COVID-19 supplies reach IDP camps in Kachin, Rakhine states

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, in cooperation with related departments and organizations, has implemented prevention, control and response actions against COVID-19 at the IDP camps in Kachin and Rakhine states on 15 and 16 May.
In Kachin State, MSWRR officials provided 2,030 liquid soap bottles, 5,640 soap bars, 130 lime powder bags, 10 infrared thermometers, 4 sticks with COVID-19 awareness audio files, and a vinyl for 13 IDP camps in Myitkyina, Waingmaw, and Mohnyin townships.
In Rakhine State, the officials distributed 4, 576 cloth masks to an IDP camp in Sittway Township, and 463 soap bars, 926 masks, 70 lime powder bags, and seven washbasins to seven IDP camps in MraukU Township.
The ministry is not only continuously implementing control and response actions against COVID-19 but also organizing educative programmes, awareness activities and moral supports in all regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw Council Area. —MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
