COVID-19 vaccination continues in different regions, states

Doctors and nurses from public hospitals, Tatmadaw medical teams, healthcare workers and volunteers are working hard to give COVID-19 vaccines in different states and regions as the vaccination programme is one of the most important activities in the prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 disease.
COVID-19 vaccine is administered daily to target groups regardless of race or religion including Buddhist monks and nuns, local people over the age of 55, religious leaders, prisoners, people with disabilities, ethnic armed groups, people with chronic diseases, and people in IDP camps respectively.
Doctors and nurses from public hospitals, medical teams from the Tatmadaw, relevant healthcare workers in collaboration with volunteers have already given COVID-19 vaccines to 4,844 people from 13 townships in northern Shan State, 980 from Mongpyin and Monghsat townships in eastern Shan State, 4,005 from Myeik and Palaw townships in Taninthayi Township, 53.012 from 26 townships in Ayeyawady Region, 4,055 from four townships in Rakhine State, 9,942 from seven districts in Mandalay Region and 250 from Htantabin Township in Bago Region.
Similarly, healthcare officials gave the vaccines to 681 students from four townships in northern Shan State, 85 students from Monghsat Township, eastern Shan State and 953 students from 26 townships in Ayeyawady Region.
It is reported that officials visited the site and coordinated the necessary work. —MNA
