Aung Zayar night market will be closed temporarily in Dala township during Covid-19 crisis, said an official from the township municipal committee.
To prevent the Covid-19 spread, the shops from Kamarkasit market and Aung Zayar market will be open from 6 am to 12 pm for the local people from Dala township. However, Aung Zayar night market will be closed temporarily in the meantime.
“Night market is opened from 2 pm to 6 am. But, we will close the night market temporarily to prevent the people from being crowded. So, we are providing the space for the night market vendors to sell their foods safely in the morning Aung Zayar market. So, people will not need to buy food in crowded places. When Covid-19 crisis is over the night market will be reopened as usual,” said Chairperson Daw Myint Myint Kyi of Township Municipal Committee.
No.1 Yangon Region Hluttaw Representative U Tun Yin, No.2 Yangon Region Hluttaw Representative U Htway Tin and Township Municipal Committee Chairperson Daw Myint Myint Kyi provided awareness talks for the people to wear the masks and queue up with three feet away from one other. They also distributed the masks to the local people and vendors in addition to checking the temperature of the people coming to the market.
