In dedication to King Mindon, Prince Kanaung, King Thibaw and late royal relatives, Waso robe offering ceremony was held at 9 am on 17 August at the Shwegyin Nikaya Sasana Lankara Maha Beikmandawgyi located at the corner of Kaba Aye Pagoda Road and Gyatawya Road in Yangon Region’s Bahan Township.

It was organized by the next generations of the Konbaung dynasty. “There are many attendees from the next royal generation, including King Thibaw, Kyaukpadaung princess, Nyaungyan prince, and other royal families. It was concluded successfully,” said Hteiktin Sithu Hein (Pyinsi Suphaya House).
It is also a family donation, he said.
“From the beginning of the year, the Laikha Queen family and west Pyinsi Suphaya family collected funds for this ceremony. So, it is a ceremony held by two royal families and is dedicated to Magway Queen and Pyinsi Suphaya Princess. It was celebrated from 9 am to 1 pm,” he said. — Thit Taw/ZS/ED
