Defence Minister and officials attend 15th ASEAN Defence Ministers meeting

Director-General Col Nyein Chan of the Department of International and Internal Affairs and officials, led by State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo, attended the 15th ASEAN Defence Ministers Meeting chaired by Brunei Darussalam through videoconferencing yesterday.
In addition, the ASEAN-China Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting to mark the 30th anniversary of the ASEAN-China Partnership was held in conjunction with the 15th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting.
During the meetings, the Defence Ministers from ASEAN member countries agreed to issue a joint statement online on defence cooperation to build an ASEAN community that we care, we prepare, we prosper.—MNA
