Defence Services Technological Academy holds 24th convocation

The 24th Convocation of the Defence Services Technological Academy is underway.

The Defence Services Technological Academy held the 24th convocation ceremony at its convocation hall in PyinOoLwin Station yesterday morning.
Commandant of DSTA Brig-Gen Soe Myat Htut, Rector Col Thaung Naing and academic board members of the academy attended the ceremony.
The Rector announced the holding of the convocation ceremony, and the graduate cadets took the oaths.
The rector conferred engineering degrees on 144 cadets of the 24th Intake, post-graduate engineering diplomas on 70 officer trainees of the 5th Intake, engineering academic diplomas on 12 officer trainees of the 7th Intake, master’s engineering degrees on 65 officer trainees of the 12th intake and doctoral engineering degrees on 33 officer trainees of the 7th Intake, totalling 324.
So far, the DSTA has turned out 7,522 engineering officers, five M Phil (Engineering) degree holders, 106 academic engineering diploma holders, 374 post-graduate engineering diploma holders, 574 ME degree holders and 136 PhD engineering degree holders in addition to two honorary PhD degree holders. —MNA
