Denmark-Myanmar project hands over 2 inshore fisheries inspection vessels

The ceremony of handing over two inshore fisheries inspection vessels from the Denmark- Myanmar project was held at the port of Pyae Phyo Tun International Co Ltd in Myeik Township yesterday morning.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Dr Aung Gyi of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation expressed that the ministry is paying special attention to the development of the fishery sector along with the development of agriculture and livestock to preserve the marine ecosystem and fish resource conservation work along Myanmar’s coast are under implementation in cooperation with the local people and with the help of partner countries.
Then, the deputy minister, the regional minister for economic affairs and officials cut the ribbons of the two vessels and inspected the trial run of the vessels. — MNA
