Deputy Minister for Commerce holds meeting with US-ASEAN Business Council

Deputy Minister for Commerce U Aung Htoo held a videoconference with the Chairman, President & CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council Mr Alexander C. Feldman and party at the former’s office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning. At the meeting, the Deputy Minister discussed the bilateral trade and matters related to promoting investment, trade liberalization in COVID-19 Economic Relief Plan-CERP to remedy the economic damage due to COVID-19 crisis, actions for food safety, digitalization, e-commerce, social commerce and supporting fund and technical assistance to small and medium-scaled businesses. The businesspersons from US-ASEAN Business Council raised queries about business and other legal procedures.
The Deputy Minister and officials replied to the questions. The conference was attended by the Permanent Secretary, the directors-general, the deputy permanent secretary, over 20 businesspersons from US-ASEAN Business Council and officials.—MNA (Translated by Ei Phyu Phyu Aung)
