Deputy Minister for Information meets editorial, staff of newspapers under NPE

U Aung Hla Tun, deputy minister for information, said the state-owned media were telling the world about Myanmar, and the Global New Light of Myanmar had an important role to play in this regard.
The deputy minister was talking to the editorial staff, reporters and other staff members working at state-owned newspapers under the News and Periodicals Enterprise (NPE) at the meeting hall of the Global New Light of Myanmar in Nga Htat Kyee Pagoda Road, Yangon, yesterday morning.
The deputy minister said he wanted newspapers to achieve more success and, for that, he wished to become acquainted with their requirements. He urged everybody present to openly make suggestions and discuss the difficulties they faced.
Next, NPE Managing Director U Kyaw Soe spoke to the deputy minister about the state-owned media.
The editorial staff, reporters and other members briefed him about their work status and gave suggestions, to which the deputy minister responded accordingly. The deputy minister then inspected the work being done by the Global New Light of Myanmar.
