Diamond Jubilee Union Day organizing working committee holds 3rd coord meeting

The third coordination meeting of the Diamond Jubilee Union Day Organizing Working Committee is held in Nay Pyi Taw.

The Ministry of Information held the third coordination meeting of the Diamond Jubilee Union Day Organizing Working Committee yesterday morning in Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the committee Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Vice Chairman Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr Maung Maung Naing, Committee Secretary Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, Deputy Ministers Maj-Gen Soe Tint Naing, U Tun Ohn, U Aung Kyaw Tun, U Zaw Win, Dr Aye Tun, U Min Htein and U Zaw Aye Maung, Vice-Mayor of Nay Pyi Taw U Maung Maung, Advocate-General of Yangon Region Government U Htay Aung, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Nay Pyi Taw Council Member U Myint Soe, ministers of the region/state governments, permanent secretaries and invitees.
At the meeting, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn noted that the current activities, including the Diamond Jubilee Union Day, which falls on 12 February, should be taken more seriously than usual as they are the image of the country. Preparations need to be made for all possible issues, including unseasonal rains and COVID-19 control measures, he added.
Afterwards, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint explained the progress of the ceremony and the work to be done for the successful holding of the ceremony, and the participants discussed sectors-wise. The committee chairman added necessary suggestions and concluded the meeting. — MNA
