The closing ceremony of the Diploma in Accountancy – DA (Part I) Course No 41 was held at 10 am on 5 August 2022 at the Assembly Hall of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union in Nay Pyi Taw.
At the ceremony, Union Auditor-General Dr Kan Zaw delivered an address saying that this training is crucial for those who study accounting and auditing to get a good foundation and become accounting technicians; it is also an entrance to a course that enables continuing to learn from the level of accounting technicians to the accounting professions; and as accounting is a subject that can support the country’s economic development, the trainees who complete the course need to perform their duties in compliance with International Accounting Standards and meet the accounting qualifications; and also to take accountability and responsibility comply with ethics where they conduct the accounting work in government departments and private entities.
He, therefore, urged trainees who completed the course to become good citizens who can carry out the benefits of their departments and nation with diligence, dignity, intelligence, and integrity in their respective roles.
During the ten-month face-to-face training, 38 trainees from 17 departments/ entities of 13 ministries/organizations attended, and the examination will be held in the coming September.
The permanent secretary, the director-general (Audit Department), the deputy permanent secretary, the deputy directors-general, responsible persons, the trainers and accomplished trainees attended the ceremony. Similarly, the Union Auditor-General also delivered an address at the closing ceremony of training No 100 of the Intermediate Level (Grade-2) and Advanced Level (Grade-3) Accounting and Office Work Proficiency Courses, held in the afternoon of that day at the Assembly Hall of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union. During the three-month face-to-face training, 136 trainees for Intermediate Level (Grade-2) and 68 trainees for Advanced Level (Grade-3) totalled 204 trainees from Union Level Ministries/Organizations attended respectively. — GNLM
