District Level of 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competitions held successfully in Yangon Region

The 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competitions at district level in Yangon Region is in progress.

The opening ceremony and competitions of District Level of the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competitions were celebrated in Yangon Region on Monday.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein attended the events together with the relevant regional ministers.
First, the Leading Organizing Committee on the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competitions Chairman U Htay Aung made an opening speech and cut the ribbon with the officials to start the event.
Then, the performers competed in the singing, dancing, song composing and music competitions at three designated locations.
The award-giving ceremony and closing ceremony were held yesterday.
First, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein delivered a greeting speech.
Then, the region cabinet members and administrators of the North District General Administration Department presented the first, second and third and special prizes to winners at each level.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein gave the Cup to winners from Insein Township that won the most prizes in nine townships.
A total of 78 performers competed in the district-level competitions.
The district-level winners will compete in regional-level and central-level of the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competitions. —MNA
