DPM MoTC Union Minister inspects departments under Myanma Posts and Telecommunications in Yangon

State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San inspected the Services Department and Circulation Department and Bayintnaung Data Centre of Myanma Posts and Telecommunications in Yangon yesterday.
On arrival at the Services Department and Circulation Department, the Union minister highlighted the key role of telecommunications in the daily life of the public, readiness for emergency maintenance, preparations and rehearsal for fire prevention.
He then stressed the need to increase the income for the country through the state-owned Myanma Posts and Telecommunications and to fulfil the communication needs of the country. Then, the Union minister inspected the operation procedures of the department.
At the Bayintnaung Data Centre, the Union minister said it should offer effective 24-hour services for data in this IT era. It should manage the document security and security system of the Data Centre. It should take into account the fact that the use of the Data Centre will increase in the future for the developing economy, administration and social sectors.
