Deputy Prime Minister Admiral Tin Aung San meets senior Tatmadaw officers yesterday.

SAC Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San met senior military officers who will manage rehabilitation tasks at storm-battered townships in Rakhine State yesterday and gave necessary instructions.
The meeting was attended by Union Border Affairs Minister Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and senior military officers.
Deputy Prime Minister Admiral Tin Aung San said that when they reach townships where they are responsible, they should prioritize collaborative efforts in clear-up of the damage caused by the storm, restore the electricity and good communication, access to clean drinking water, school buildings to be repaired in time of school opening, reconstruction of hospitals, monasteries, provision of foodstuffs, medicines, medical supplies and construction materials sent by the government to be systematically and rapidly distributed to storm-affected people, supervision of correct statistics, and urgent matters to be submitted in a timely manner.
Senior military officers who will supervise and assist in the rehabilitation activities in storm-hit areas of Rakhine State were transported by helicopter yesterday afternoon. — MNA/TS
