Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San presided over the coordination meeting on educational scholarship grants at the ministry yesterday.
Also present at the meeting were Union ministers from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Planning and Finance and relevant ministries’ officials.
First, the Deputy Prime Minister said that providing educational grants by the government was a matter that would be used long-term from the national treasury fund. He called for the presentation of suggestions and discussions on the specified principle, screening and selection process for educational scholarships in the higher education sector, basic education sector and technology and vocational education sector, and the need to be implemented.
