Drugs impounded in some townships

A combined team consisting of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched an MG vehicle, which is driven by Ma Nang Wo Phat at Lwalsitone village, Wanlone village-tract in Tachilek township at 5:45 pm on 11 August. The team found 200 Ecstasy tablets, 0.075 kilogramme of Happy Water from her. The team also searched her house at No 117, Thanlwin 1 street, Wanekyauk ward in Tachilek township at 6:15 pm. They found 0.225 kilogramme of Happy Water and 15 Ecstasy tablets from her house. Then, the team arrested Sai Khan Mee, who is a drug dealer at Arkhar market, Wanekyauk ward in Tachilek township at 6:40 pm.
Similarly, the Anti-Drug Special Task Force searched a Hijet vehicle, which is driven by Aiksar at Tarkawat village checkpoint, Winemai village-tract in Tangyan township at 12:30 pm on 12 August. The team seized 25.2 kilogrammes of raw opium. Then, the combined team of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a motorcycle driven by Than Toe Aung at Kholone village, Nuangann village-tract in Hsipaw township at 9 am on 12 August. The team nabbed 60,000 stimulant tablets from him. At the same place, the team searched a motorcycle driven by Yan Tar at 9:20 am. They impounded 54,000 stimulant tablets.
They are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
