Drugs seized in Dawei, Kyimyindine, Nawnghkio townships

A combined inspection team consisting of the Taninthayi Region Police Force members examined a suspected motorbike driven by Thet Zaw (aka) Nyaung Nyaung on 7th street of Sinseik ward in Dawei Township at 7:00 pm on 23 April. It seized 195 ecstasy tablets with K68,000.
At 8:15 pm the same day, the combined inspection team searched Thet Zaw’s house in Ohlok Ward in Dawei Township and found 5,516 ecstasy tablets and 0.375 kilogramme of Ice.
At 7:45 pm the same day, a combined team of the Taninthayi Region Police Force members searched a suspected motorbike driven by San Lwin on 7th street of Sinseik ward in Dawei Township and found 9,750 ecstasy tablets.
At 11:00 am on 24 April, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a house of Ma Thida Hlaing in Bawga Ward in Kyimyindine Township and seized 5,600 ecstasy tablets.
At 8:00 am the same day, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched an AD Van vehicle driven by Zaw Win (aka) Cousin near the 80/4 milestone of the Mandalay-Lashio Road in Nawnghkio Township and seized 120,000 ecstasy tablets.
They are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
