Drugs seized in Myeik, Toungoo, Loilem Townships

Drugs were found in Myeik, Toungoo and Loilem townships, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
A coordinated team with the members of the Anti-Drug Police Force inspected a motorbike driven by Maung Toe (aka) Phoe Toe at the strand road of Nauklei in Nauklei Ward, Myeik Township at 9 pm on 24 July and confiscated 40,000 stimulant tablets. According to the investigation, the team searched a house of Aung Soe Oo and his wife Ma The Maw at the Thiri Mingala Road in Kuntheechaung Village of Sandawut Village-tract, Myeik Township at 10:30 pm, and then found 2,000 stimulant tablets from the empty house.
Similarly, a suspected man, Kyaw Kyaw (aka) Ko Ban was found when a combined inspection team including the members of the Anti-Drug Police Force made inspections on the Toungoo-Thantaung Road of Ward 23 in Toungoo Township, at 2:15 pm on 26 July. The team seized 9,850 stimulant tablets from him. On the same day, a coordinated inspection team stopped and searched a Toyota Crown car driven by Sai Arseinna (aka) Aung Phoo on the Panglong-Laikha Road near Kyuuyone Village of Panglong (East) Village-tract in Loilem Township at 5:40 pm and found 0.21 kilogramme of heroin from them.
The suspects were prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, stated the MPF. — MNA
