Drugs seized in some townships across Myanmar

Drugs were seized in Thazi and Patheingyi townships, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force Police stopped a motorbike driven by Aung Soe accompanied by Kyaw Thu Aung (aka) Kyaw Gyi and a motorbike driven by Soe Win Hlaing (aka) Soe Win (aka) Shine Zaw and seized 1.98 kilogrammes of heroin from a motorbike of Soe Win Hlaing who left his motorbike and run away and 1.98 kilogrammes of heroin from a motorbike of Kyaw Thu Aung (aka) Kyaw Gyi at 5:30 am on 29 October.
In addition, at 2:00 pm on the same day, a combined team consisting of Mandalay Region Police Force members stopped and examined a motorbike driven by Kyaw Soe in Ward 4 of Thazi and captured 3,200 stimulant tablets.
Moreover, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force Police examined a light truck driven by Si Thu Lin accompanied by Aung Win at the 16th-Milepost Kyaukchaw combined checkpoint of Patheingyi township at 8 am on 30 October and captured 9,754 stimulant tablets and 0.22 kilogramme of heroin.
The suspects are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MNA
