Drugs seized in some townships across Myanmar

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a Hilux Surf car at a combined checkpoint of Lonetong village in Mohnyin township at 11:30 am on 15 November. A total of 0.21 kilogramme of heroin and 6,480 stimulant tablets were found on the car.
At 1:15 pm on the same day, Police Force searched a passenger bus at the Mahlwaltaung Combined Checkpoint in Yephyu township and arrested a passenger Min Lwin together with 11,895 stimulant tablets and K 600,000.
At 5:15 pm on 13 November, Police Force examined a Mark II car driven by Zaw Zaw Aung at a combined checkpoint of Watwon village in PyinOoLwin township and captured a total of 3.2 kilogrammes of Happy Water and 0.9 kilogramme of ketamine.
According to the investigation, a trafficker Thet Naing (aka) Arkar, was seized at a bus station in Muse township at 7:30 pm on 15 November.
In addition, at 1 pm on 15 November, a combined team including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force examined a man named Bo San Lin (aka) San Lin in Yamethin township and seized 4,000 stimulant tablets from him.
At 7 am on the same day, Police Force stopped and searched a three-wheel motorbike driven by Maung Hla Htun at the gate of Kanyintan Ward in Maungdaw township and captured 195,000 stimulant tablets.
At 4 pm on the same day, Police Force searched the house of Aye Thein (aka) Pyone Cho in Dawbon township and found a total of 175,000 stimulant tablets.
The suspects are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
