Drugs seized in various townships

Supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee, effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law.
On 18 June morning, a team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and checked a Scania passenger bus at the Mahlwe Taung Joint Inspection Checkpoint near Ahlelsakhan Village of Lawtthaing Village-tract, Yephyu Township and seized 25,344 stimulant tablets.
On the same morning, a team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force confiscated 18,000 stimulant pills from a motorcycle driven by Sai Mein Kwang, at the Tarkaw Bridge Joint Checkpoint in Tarkaw Village-tract, Kunhing Township.
Similarly, a team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Drug performed inspections on the Holinam Kyum Highway near Tonkyet Village of Pyingye Village-tract in Kunlong Township and seized 0.11 kilogramme of heroin and 12,000 stimulant tablets from a motorcycle driven by Hlu Wam Fu(aka) Louk Ae at 4 pm.
At 9 am on the same day, a team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a house of Laos citizens, Arr Sam and Wilarwut (aka) Sai, located at Weinkyauk Ward in Tachilek and captured 1,900 Ecstasy pills from the bedroom.
Likewise, on 19 June at the Mahlwe Taung Joint Inspection Checkpoint near Ahlelsakhan Village of Lawtthaing Village-tract, Yephyu Township, 48,750 stimulant tablets and K3.4 million were confiscated by the team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, from a Yutong passenger bus at 8:15 am.
At noon, a team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Force searched and seized 29,800 stimulant tablets from an Express car, at the Joint Inspection Gate of Mayanchaung Village, Mayanchaung Village-tract in Kyaikhto Township. The suspects were prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
