Durian price rising in Kya-in-Seikkyi

The price of durian has increased, although its production is still high in the Kya-in-Seikkyi Township, Kawkareik District, Kayin State.
Despite the price increase, customers are buying the fruit. Durian sellers are selling them for between Ks1,000 and Ks5,000 per fruit.
Local durian traders from Kya-in-Seikkyi Township are buying the fruit from villages where they are cultivated and selling them in Kya-in-Seikkyi Township. Traders from Yangon and Mawlamyine townships also buy durian from the villages.
