Eighth 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee holds second-day session of 13th plenary meeting

The second day of the eighth 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee’s 13th plenary meeting is in progress yesterday.

The second-day session of the thirteenth plenary meeting of the 8th 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee was administrated at the Vijaya Mangala Dhamma Thabin of Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon yesterday morning.
Present at the occasion were members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee led by Chairman Sayadaw Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa, Union Minister U Ko Ko of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, the director-general of Religious Affairs Department and other officials of departments concerned.
State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Chairman Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa presided over the meeting and Joint Secretary Sayadaw Agga Maha Gandhavasaka Pandita Bhaddanta Sandavamsa Linkara Bhivamsa acted as the master of ceremonies.
At the meeting, Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Vilasa Bhivamsa reported on Vinicchaya while Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Koyandya on religious affairs and Agga Maha Pandita Dhamma Kahtika Bhahujahitadhara Bhaddanta Pannasiha Bhivamsa on educational matters conducted during the term of eighth Sangha Nayaka Committee (second subcommittee).
Then, the Sayadaws discussed on Vinicchaya and religious affairs and concluded the first session.
The Vinicchaya affairs, religious-related matters and educational matters were discussed by the Sayadaws at the second session on 1 pm.
Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Sandavara Bhivamsa reported on Vinicchaya while Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Kosala on religious affairs and Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Acara on education matters conducted during the fifth term of eighth Sangha Nayaka Committee (second subcommittee).
Then, the Joint Secretary Agga Maha Gandhavasaka Pandita Bhaddanta Sandavamsa Linkara Bhivamsa sought approvals for reports of the eighth Sangha Nayaka Committee (second subcommittee) and concluded the meeting.
Disciples under the auspices of Kyaikkasan Wailuwun (Shwegyin) Monastery Sayadaw Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Manita offered alms for the whole day to the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee member Sayadaws who attended the ceremony yesterday. — MNA/CT
