Emphasize physical and mental well-being of people

Both physical and mental well-being is of great importance in people’s social lives on a daily basis. Setting aside anxieties for people’s basic needs plays a key role in enjoying physical and mental well-being.
At the Management Committee meeting (4/2021) of the State Administration Council, the Chairman of the State Administration Council stressed the need to take measures on the rule of law to better basic needs for individual people and ensure the rule of law for enabling the people to enjoy fruits of physical and mental well-being.

Myanmar has 133 per cent of rice sufficiency for the entire nation. Quality surplus rice can be exported to earn an increased income of foreign exchange. If respective regions produce quality foodstuffs to reduce import volume, it can contribute to minimizing budget deficiency while enhancing consumption and demand.

A government is responsible for ensuring a smooth process of the people’s basic needs and improvement of the State economy. The State Administration Council is implementing five future programmes and nine objectives in detail to have the country’s development in a short time.
Food supply is of importance among three basic needs. For ensuring food sufficiency, quality and marketable strains of rice, beans, edible oil crops, and other crops suitable for the regions must be grown on the country’s abundant land resources. Although Myanmar is sufficient in yield of edible oil crops, palm oil used in industries is imported abroad.
Suppose oil palm cultivation in the lower Taninthayi Region secures success to reduce palm oil import volume. In that case, the country can cut spending on foreign exchange. In refining oil, foreign investment should be invited for improvement of the State economy.

Sufficient electrification is the main drive for the development of the country. Efforts are being made to generate electricity through the solar system. In serving the interests of the people, the government prioritizes seeking short-term ways to generate electricity.
The State Administration Council places emphasis on fulfilling the main requirements of the people for ensuring physical and mental well-being quickly whatever happens in the country and no matter how global countries show their attitudes.
