Myanmar Football Federation president U Zaw Zaw stressed everyone’s desire to be the best in development of Myanmar football world amidst a hard time of COVID-19 pandemic during the third Executive Meeting via videoconference on 5 December.
“Everyone wants the best. Although we are a non-governmental organization, we can only move forward with the development of football if we can find it commercially,” U Zaw Zaw said.
“We need to reconsider our financial expenditures. The coaching staff has to review the details of the competition.It is the situation we have to move on. It is a time when survival and life insurance are a priority. I want everyone to discuss together. Everyone is in trouble right now. It is a time of suffocation.
“Without ignoring this, executives are encouraged to carefully consider presentations and discussions.Depending on the leadership of our executives, good results can come out.We want them to consider the situation in the midst of difficulties and discuss the development of their own football world”, he added in his opening remarks. After the MFF president’s speech, sectoral discussions were held with the members of the Executive Committee.
Football authorities also discussed special matters on youth football matches, coordination processes with the Ministry of Health and Sports to hold regular futsal events. The Myanmar Football Federation Congress will also be held on 30, January 2021 with a videoconference, according to the MFF.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
