The government is accelerating the COVID-19 prevention and control activities and conducting COVID-19 vaccination programmes across the nation together with the health workers, officials and volunteers, and the extremist terrorists intentionally disturb the COVID-19 vaccination processes.
Two remote mines planted by the extremist terrorists near the inspection gate for COVID-19 at the entrance of Kawlin Township of Sagaing Region exploded yesterday morning. Then, four extremist terrorists (under scrutiny) attacked the checkpoint with 40mm grenade launcher from 150 yards west from that place.
During the attacks, four police members and one municipal staff were injured and one of the police members died on the way to Kawlin township hospital.
Similarly, two insurgents by motorcycle threw a homemade mine into Kyarphyu hall in Ward 5 of Namhkam in Shan State (North) where the health personnel, social welfare organization members and officials made preparations for vaccination on the same day. The mine blast did not have any injury but damaged about 5ft by 5ft concrete floor.
The security forces investigate the suspects who committed the bomb attacks and the people are urged to inform the officials regarding with the activities of the unscrupulous persons. –MNA
